Mink influenza A virus detected worldwide annually. A total of 47 influenza viral sequences were obtained from GISAID, consisting of seven subtypes, H1N1, H1N2, H3N2, H5N1, H5N6, H9N2 as well as H10N4 from year 1984 to 2022. Most of the mink influenza A viruses were detected from China since 2013, with the majority comprising of H9N2 and H5N6.
